History of 359th Infantry Regiment and 90th Infantry Division: The 359th Infantry was created on August 5th 1917 as a unit of the National Army.  One month later it was assigned to be apart of the 180th Infantry Brigade which is connected to the 90th division. The 359th Infantry was also very active in Europe during WWII.
